Dr Sunny Deol G

Dr. Sunny Deol G is an Associate Professor at NIT Raipur with over 13 years of academic, research, and consultancy experience, along with 2 years of industry experience at L&T (ECC Division). He specializes in Transportation Engineering, focusing on pavement performance, NDT-based pavement evaluation, sustainable pavement materials, pavement management systems, and intelligent transportation systems. He has led 5 major research projects and completed 85 consultancy projects worth over ₹550 lakh for prominent agencies including NHAI, CRRI, NRIDA, SECL, Adani Enterprises, Bhilai Steel Plant, ArcelorMittal–Nippon Steel, and AAI. His research contributions include 20 international journal publications and significant work on sustainable materials such as steel slag, coal washery rejects, iron-ore tailings, and bio-enzymes. Dr. Sunny has coordinated training programs, delivered 69 invited lectures, and established 3 institutional MoUs with national bodies. He teaches and develops courses in Highway Engineering, Pavement Engineering, Intelligent Transportation Systems, and Transportation Planning. He is also a life member of IRC and the Institute of Urban Transport.
