Prof (Dr) Laxmikant Yadu

Prof (Dr.) Laxmikant Yadu, Professor & Head in Civil Engineering Department National Institute of Technology Raipur has obtained his B. Tech degree from NIT Raipur (erstwhile GEC Raipur) in 2001. He has completed M Tech degree from IIT Delhi and PhD from NIT Raipur in 2005 and 2014 respectively with the specialization of Geotechnical Engineering. After M Tech, he has joined BITS Pilani as lecturer. He joined NIT Raipur as Assistant Professor in 2009. He has worked as Associate Dean (Planning and Development) and Professor In-charge (Civil) Estate office at NIT Raipur as additional responsibility. He has also worked as Sub-divisional Officer in Rural Engineering Services, Govt of Chhattisgarh. He is actively involved in teaching, research and consultancy from last 15 years. Over 90 numbers of research papers have been published in national and international journals includes SCI, ESCI, Scoups and conferences. Two awarded and three published patent is also in his credit. He has guided 07 PhD theses, 09 M Tech dissertation sand more than 40 B Tech final year projects so far. He is presently involved in the guidance of 07 PhD, 02 M Tech dissertations and 05 B Tech final year projects. He has completed 04 sponsored research projects of amount 41.89 Lakhs, 25.0 Lakhs and 2.0 Lakhs and number of testing and consultancy projects. He is also the reviewer of various reputed International Journals includes Geomechanics and Engineering: An International Journal, Canadian Geotechnical Journal, of Journal of Geological Resource and Engineering etc. He is main author of Chhattisgarh Chapter of GeoIndia Book which is in press and going to published very soon. He is presently serving as honorary secretary of Indian Geotechnical Society Local Chapter Raipur since July 2019. He is founder secretary of IGS Raipur chapter. He is member of 14 professional societies includes International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, International Society of Geosynthetics, Indian Geotechnical Society, Indian Roads Congress etc. He has organized various workshop/ Seminars/ STTP course for 5 days, 2 days and one day as course coordinator.
