Green Ash Foundation, Nagpur: A non-profit NGO, Green Ash Foundation has been actively promoting the use of fly ash as a green building material. The foundation organises training programs, workshops, and conferences, and develops affordable technologies to maximize fly ash utilisation. Since 2017 the International Conference & Expo “Green AshCon” is successfully held to benefit all stakeholders in the fly ash and construction sectors.
National Institute of Technology, NIT Raipur: Formerly known as Government Engineering College (GEC) Raipur, is situated in the capital city of Chhattisgarh state. The institute has established its unique identity for the development of high quality human and knowledge resource in diverse area of technology. It was declared as ‘National Institute of Technology’ by the Government of India on 1st December 2005 and then an ‘Institute of National Importance’ in May 2007 vide National Institute of Technology Act 2007. With over six decades of glorious history as a premier technical education institution in India, NIT Raipur offers 12 UG and 11 PG programmes. It also offers Ph.D. programme in 18 disciplines of science and technology.
Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, was formerly a part of Madhya Pradesh until the new state was formed on 1st November 2000. Over the years, Raipur has witnessed remarkable industrial growth and has emerged as a major business and industrial hub of Central India. The city has also earned recognition for its environmental efforts, being ranked the 8th Cleanest Air City (Category 1: population above 10 lakh) in Swachh Vayu Survekshan 2024. Chhattisgarh’s strong industrial base, rich mineral resources, and leading production of steel and iron make it one of India’s most promising destinations for investment and business. It is also major educational hub, hosting premier institutes such as IIM, NIT, AIIMS, IIIT, HNLU, and CIPET. Raipur and its surrounding regions offer rich tourism and natural attractions, including Waterfalls, several Temples and Barnawapara Wildlife Sanctuary.

India is witnessing rapid growth in infrastructure development, making the construction industry one of the largest contributors to the national economy. Modern green building materials are developed from industrial and agricultural by-products, helping reduce waste and carbon emissions. These include: Fly Ash, Construction & Demolition Waste, Industrial/Mining Waste, Red Mud, Agro Waste, Natural Fibres, FGD Gypsum, Geopolymer Cement, Bamboo, Engineered Wood and Waste Plastic Bricks.
